Randi Freundlich: Children of the World - Boston

On exhibit at the BCEC through the end of 2013, Children of the World - Boston, is a series of photographs by Randi Freundlich, a social worker by trade with a passion for photography. When Freundlich learned about a photographer in New York City taking pictures of city children from foreign countries across the world, she realized this could bring together her two passions. Inspired by this project, she began sharing the images and stories of Boston-based children who were born—or whose parents were born—in another country. So far, Freundlich's impactful work represents 40 countries, with a goal to reach 100. Each of her portraits includes a quotation from the subject or the child's parents.
