Tom Brady, Cynthia Erivo to headline conference in Boston

Tom Brady is coming back to Boston later this year.

 

The former Patriots quarterback will serve as one of the headlining speakers at the upcoming Unbound conference, set for Sept. 16-18 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in the Seaport.

 

The seven-time Super Bowl champion is just one of several big names slated to appear at the event, which will also feature “Wicked” star and Emmy-, Grammy-, Tony-winning actress Cynthia Erivo on the main stage. Other headliners announced so far include author and podcast host Mel Robbins, Needham-raised NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, and a live presentation of the business and technology show TBPN.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority offers space for people and groups to come together. Interim Executive Director John Barros shares the authority's vision for economic impact and community responsibility.

 

He also discusses the renovation of the Hynes Convention Center and Boston being a potential 2028 DNC convention site.

Probe into Convention Authority's IT process finds agency followed protocol

A new report on the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority's record-keeping, public records retention and data collection process has found that the authority followed appropriate technical protocol.

 

The audit was launched in response to a Massachusetts Senate investigation.

 

The authority’s practices related to device destruction and document retention came under scrutiny after the Senate Post Audit and Oversight Committee on Dec. 5 sent a letter asking the MCCA to explain its process and decisions in 2023 related to destruction of some devices amid two investigations, one from the state auditor, that were ongoing at that time.
