Harlem Globetrotters delight crowd in the ‘Birthplace of Basketball’
SPRINGFIELD — The legendary Harlem Globetrotters set the normally ice covered floor of the MassMutual Center on fire with a dazzling performance of basketball skills Tuesday evening with a game against the Washington Generals as part of their world tour.
The team holds 22 current world records and introduced the long-range four-point shot from the 30-foot mark and beyond which was created in 2010.
Hundreds of fans of all ages lined the court for a meet and greet prior to the game.
