Orgill gets busy in Boston

On one side of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, the model store Walnut Grove Hardware displays innovations such as space-saving techniques. On the other side, Central Tool & Building Supply appeals to the professional contractor and builder.

The model stores are two of the highlights here at Orgill’s 2017 Fall Dealer Market. Other highlights include a tool and power tool niche area and an outdoor grilling area, complete with taste testing.

“Not only do we have a lot of new products and items that retailers can use to set their operations apart from the competition, but we have some great deals and discounts to help them drive profits as well, says Jeff Curler, Orgill’s senior VP of purchasing.

Central Tool & Building Supply is focused on the pro customer. All assortments within the building supply store are also 100-percent Canadian- compliant.

“With Central Tool & Building Supply, we are highlighting how a pro-focused retailer can utilize a tool niche featuring powerful brands to really build a store- within-a-store concept that will appeal to the professional contractor and builder market,” says Philip Walker, Orgill’s senior vice president of merchandising services. “But this is also a showcase of the other assortments that a retailer would want to feature to offer these customers a complete shopping experience.”

Many retailers started out the Market by attending one of several Brand Building Clinics. These clinics focus on a variety of marketing-related topics that range from retail pricing and circular design to how to leverage Facebook for promotional marketing.
