Michelle Consalvo is responsible for Patient Innovation and Policy for the Northeast Region at Shire.
Most recently, she worked as the Assistant Vice President for Government & Community Affairs for Boston University. In this capacity, Michelle was responsible for overseeing the University's relationship with state and local leaders and advancing its policy and research agenda before the legislature and government agencies.
Prior to joining Boston University, Michelle served as the New England Executive Director for TechNet in charge of regional operations and public policy advocacy on issues promoting the innovation economy throughout the New England states and in Washington, D.C. She also worked for AT&T as Vice President for External Affairs, implementing the company's legislative and regulatory policies in New England. Michelle brings over 19 years of experience in working on complex public policy issues to her role at Baxalta and began her career in government working in the Massachusetts State Legislature. She serves on the boards of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority and the Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and a law degree from Suffolk University Law School. She lives in Boston with her husband, Drew O’Brien, and twins Natalie and Matthew.
